Summary

Balochistan Centre for Excellence in Renewable Energy (BCRE) is a landmark initiative of BRSP supported by PATRIP and implemented at BUITEMS, Quetta, with satellite centers in Noshki, Qilla Saifullah, and Zhob. From 2024 to 2026, BCRE will focus on infrastructural development and social interventions to uplift economic and social prospects in the province and will foster greater cooperation among diverse populations.

BCRE will leverage solar, wind, hydro, and biomass resources through research, education, asset utilization, and best practices replication. Key outcomes include constructing BCRE facilities, integrating renewable energy practices into institutional frameworks, and penetrating local markets with renewable energy products. With dedicated wings for research, advocacy, marketing, and asset utilization, BCRE aims to lead a comprehensive renewable energy movement in Balochistan, providing sustainable solutions and fostering inclusive growth to drive the province towards energy sustainability and socio-economic advancement.
