Solar Powered Safe Drinking Water System

Summary

BRSP, with the support of PPAF, is implementing a renewable energy project in union council Raskoh of district Kharan to address the energy crisis in Balochistan, in off-grid village of Eri Kalag from November 2023 to November 2024. This transformative project aims to provide increased access to clean, reliable, and affordable electricity at household level and safe drinking water for households by reaching out to 230 households, equipping them with solar panels, and installing two solar-powered tube well. By installing solar home systems (SHS), solar streetlights, and solar-powered drinking water systems, the initiative is set to significantly improve basic services, thereby enhancing the quality of life and fostering socio-economic development among the beneficiaries.

The project promotes renewable energy solutions, aiming to cultivate local ownership and participation in sustainable energy initiatives, fostering community empowerment and resilience through establishing proper operation and maintenance (O&M) mechanism.
